Gran Alacant is situated in the region between
the south of Alicante and Santa Pola, on the Costa Blanca
in Spain.

Only 15 minutes from the promenade
of the (capital) city of Alicante and just seven kilometers
away from the Alicante International Airport in El Altet
(but no aircraft noise), Gran Alacant is developing itself
as a new residential area and (holiday) destination for
people all over Europe.
Gran Alacant is surrounded by the Clot de
Galvany nature park, Los Arenales del Sol, the sand dunes
of Carabassi Beach and Santa Pola, the village nearby where
also the local authorities of Gran Alacant are established.
In front of the coast there is the Tabarca island, a sea
nature reserve surrounded by crystal clear waters.

Looking at the road map (Road
Maps), you can say that Gran Alacant is a jumble of
so called urbanizations, junctions of apartments, semi-detached
houses and villas. And because Gran Alacant is growing,
economic activity and nightlife are becoming part of everyday
life. There are more than 60 bars and restaurants, 7 supermarkets
(Mercadona, Consum, Lidl, SuperValu, Maxcoop, Thomas Green
and Quick Save), 9 banks (Bankinter, Deutsche Bank, 3x CAM
Bank, BBVA, Caja Murcia, Sol Bank, Bancaja), 2 opticians,
1 pharmacy and last but not least 1 petrol station (Repsol).

Directory.
Alicante
The city of Alicante, 12 km north from Gran
Alacant, offers everything one would expect from a modern
city: shopping malls and hypermarkets, restaurants with
exquisite Mediterranean cuisine, especially in the port
area, street market traders, all overlooked by the majestic
ancient hilltop castle mystically floodlit in the night
time.
